Druids are a powerful Guild, commanding the fury of nature and possessing both a wide range of spells and the ability to transform into animals. A morphed Druid is a formidable fighter, and a spell casting Druid has an array of support abilities in combat. However, the nature Deities demand that a Druid remain faithful to the neutral path. One who is too good or evil will not be able to cast spells.

While all Druids gain all spells and commands, the advancement plans and play styles between morphing and spell casting diff substantially. Players should choose one to focus on for high level play. Either may be utilized for acquiring experience to advance, though morph is recommended due to its much lower GP costs.

Commands

Morph
Usage : morph <form|normal>| <study|consider|forget> <animal>
GP Cost: 0 to 1500
Minimum Level: 0 (overall)
Skills Used:
fighting.offensive.melee.unarmed - Offensive power of bestial form.
faith.spells.misc.self - Offensive power of bestial form and number of forms that you may maintain.
general.lore - Number of forms that you may maintain.
faith.spells.defensive.self - Defensive power of bestial form.

Morph permits shapechanging into an animal the Druid has encountered and studied. It turns the Druid from a caster into a fighter type, and grants powerful offense and defense based on the animal's form, with larger animals generally providing stronger capabilities. A transformed Druid neither needs nor uses weapons and armours. Morph provides a boost to the the three physical stats, to a maximum of 7 Dex, 5 Str, and 3 Con. However, casting spells is impossible while morphed. The difference in size between the current and target form determines the GP cost. Changing to a form other than normal costs a minimum of 350 GP.

Warning: Items which do not save on log off will be lost if worn or held when morphing.

This command calls upon the essence of nature's power to assume the form of a bestial denizen you have studied. It is not possible to wield weapons or cast spells whilst transformed, yet attack is possible through your bestial form. There are four categories of beasts: an animal, the most recognizable of the beasts, large and small. An amphibian, able to exist on both land and sea. A sea-creature, able to exist only in bodies of water and yet able to traverse them with the ease with which you walk. Finally, the bird, whose flight allows you to cross vast distances. To study a form to transform into you must first find an animal then 'morph study <target>'. You can also 'morph consider <target>' to get some idea of what you can do with the new form.

Should you wish to forget a form, simply 'morph forget <name>', assuming that you have already learned the form, of course. You must do this in the purification room in your guild to fully purge the animal's memory from your mind. To revert to normal form 'morph normal'.

Rend
Syntax: rend <target>
Rend is the attack command for morphed Druids. The damage and number of hits depend upon the form chosen for morph.

GP Cost: 5 to 50
Minimum Level: 50th (overall)
Attack Type: Target Attack
Attack Rating Skill: fighting.offensive.special
Allowed Weapon Types: fighting.offensive.melee.unarmed

While in any Animal or Amphibian form, a morph druid may rend their enemy with the great fury of nature. Whether by claw or tail or even powerful jaws, the strength of the morphed druid is undeniable.
